Pupils from across North Wales have taken part in a special programme of events held at the DangerPoint in aid of Road Safety Week.
More than 150 pupils visited the centre in Talacre during road safety week to take part in a series of activities hosted by DangerPoint to promote road safety to its visitors.
A two day event, facilitated by agencies including North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, North Wales Police, The Welsh Ambulance Service and Flintshire Road Safety Team educated over 150 Yr 12/13 students about road safety.
Activities included during these visits were presented in line with this year’s road safety theme of ‘Not a drop, Not a drag’. These activities included a hard-hitting presentation by The Welsh Ambulance Service, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service's Impact Roadshow Team, North Wales Police and the Flintshire Road Safety Team. Information was given about driving whilst under different influences such as alcohol, drugs and peer pressure.
One student said from Eirias High School, “Today’s sessions will help me to drive safer and notice the hazards’.
The week long activities were supported by Conwy Road Safety Team and Flintshire Road Safety Team.
