DangerPoint supports National Bike Week

Pupils from across Conwy County have had the opportunity to visit DangerPoint to take part in a special programme of events to promote National Bike Week.
Following funding from Conwy Road Safety Team and the Conwy Community Safety Partnership, schools from Conwy County were able to visit DangerPoint at no cost for the launch of their new cycle safety display during National Bike Week. DangerPoint also welcomed Conwy County’s Bike it officer, Gwen Thomas. ‘Bike It’ run by Sustrans, is a key project that encourages and supports children and young people to choose two wheels instead of four for the journey to school.
DangerPoint have further developed their road safety education to include a life-sized model of a child on a bicycle funded through North Wales Safety Camera Partnership. The aim of this display is to illustrate to the pupils the importance of safety whilst out on their bicycles by demonstrating suitable equipment available
DangerPoint would like to thank Halfords, Rhyl for their kind donation of the bicycle.
